Qualifications

• Two years full-time direct care experience with youth ages 6-21.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Associate’s degree and six months experience.
• High school diploma and one year of experience.
• Valid New York State driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle in NYS.
• Direct care experience with youth in juvenile justice or residential settings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor youth in secure, limited-secure, or non-secure facilities.
• Establish professional relationships with youth and families and collaborate with staff.
• Participate as a member of a youth’s support team to address emotional/behavioral needs.
• Use graduated harm-reduction strategies and intervene when needed.
• Assist youth in education, work readiness, and community transition goals.
• Supervise youth during recreation and education activities.
