This driving position uses access control and visitor management to help maintain a secure environment, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors. You will represent our agile, reliable, and innovative team while delivering exceptional service with integrity, care, and teamwork.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, youth, and authorized contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to government juvenile justice facilities by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, issuing temporary access materials, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site personnel and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, access points, buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
• Document access activity, incidents, and unusual observations in accordance with site procedures, maintaining clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and facility personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Must meet COLA DPSS/DHS requirements, including a tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations.
• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
