Job summary

Branches is seeking a Coach (Lead Instructor) to drive program goals and build meaningful relationships with students in afterschool and summer programs. You will lead lessons, support social-emotional growth, and guide youth toward post-secondary success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of related professional experience.
• Successful experience working directly with students K-12 is preferred.
• Completion of DCF School-Age Child Care Staff Credential within first year.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; Creole is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily lessons and enrichment activities for middle and high school students.
• Develop lessons in social-emotional learning, recreation, enrichment, and college readiness.
• Build deep relationships with students and families.
• Lead students toward post-secondary success by teaching life and job skills.
• Guide eligible youth in applying for Branches’ Climb Higher scholarship.
• Create and maintain a warm, inclusive environment and uphold policies.
