Job summary

Hanley Foundation is seeking a Substance Use Prevention Educator to implement evidence-based prevention curricula in Manatee County schools, with occasional travel to neighboring counties. You will collaborate with teachers, participate in community coalitions, and recruit locations for program delivery.

The role requires travel, driving own vehicle, and strong presentation skills to educate parents, faculty, and students. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with CPP/CPS certification encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, education, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year working with adolescents, preferably in schools or public health.
  • CPP or CPS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver approved substance use prevention curricula in schools and other agencies.
  • Participate in community coalition meetings and task force committees.
  • Recruit and secure school and community implementation locations.
  • Provide education on alcohol and other drugs to parents and faculty or staff.
  • Complete monitoring reports as grant requirements indicate.
  • Maintain Salesforce/CPG data entries daily and on time.
  • Travel to schools, staff meetings, and community events within designated counties.
  • Assist the Prevention Coordinator on special projects.
