Job summary

Essentia Health is expanding its athletic performance services with a new retail location at Elite West Duluth. We seek a Strength and Conditioning Coach to develop science-based training for athletes of all levels.

You will design year-round programs, supervise sessions, coordinate schedules, and help market services within the community. A bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science is required; CSCS and BLS are preferred, with the possibility to obtain within 3 months of hire date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Exercise Science preferred.
• Experience with youth athletes in strength and conditioning environment preferred.
• CSCS certification within 3 months of hire date preferred.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire date preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop strength and conditioning programs for individual athletes and groups.
• Design and supervise programs throughout the year and all athletic seasons.
• Instruct/oversee individual and group performance sessions.
• Develop and coordinate training schedules for individuals and groups.
• Market athletic performance services throughout the community.
• Track progress of athletes to ensure a safe, high-quality program.
• Communicate with athletes and guardians on progress and recommendations.
• Build relationships with athletes, families, and local youth clubs/teams/coaches.
