After School Matters in Chicago is seeking Sport & Recreation Leadership instructors to begin in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027. This part-time, in-person role serves teens aged 14 to 20 with a 15:1 student-to-instructor ratio, delivering a 75-hour Sports & Recreation curriculum with field trips and guest speakers.

You will plan activities, supervise participants, and document attendance, interviews, and program outcomes.

Qualificações

• Experience working with teens, preferred.
• Ability to communicate with teens, parents, staff and vendors.
• Intermediate Google Suite proficiency.
• Commitment to cultural competency.
• Experience coaching or teaching teens preferred.
• Familiarity with Chicago neighborhoods required.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and facilitate a 75-hour Sports and Recreation curriculum, including field trips and guest speakers.
• Create structure and support for teens, set agendas, and establish group norms.
• Lead teens through planning and implementing an end-of-session showcase.
• Conduct teen interviews, roster selections, and data entry for attendance and reports.
• Prepare program budgets in accordance with ASM guidelines.
• Supervise teens at a 15:1 ratio with appropriate safety and supervision.
