YMCA of Greater Louisville is hiring a Youth Sports Official at Norton Commons in Prospect, KY. This part-time position requires officiating youth sports programs, supervising practices, and ensuring a safe environment for all participants.

Ideal candidates will be organized, service-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. A minimum age of 15 is required, and certification in CPR and First Aid must be obtained within the first 90 days.

Formación

Core Responsibilities

The Youth Sports Official is responsible for officiating youth sports programs in accordance with YMCA of Greater Louisville parameters, supervising practices throughout the season, maintaining fields and gyms in a safe and efficient manner, fostering positive relationships with participants, members and staff, monitoring policies and procedures for all programs, volunteers, and staff, and demonstrating a sincere interest in working with and teaching youth the principles of sports and Christian values.

Qualifications & Position Requirements

• Minimum age of 15
• Team player with a personal commitment to the YMCA Mission, Philosophy, and Character Development Values
• Experience working with youth ages 3-14 preferred; if not, training will be provided
• Athletic background preferred
• Personable, outgoing, and service oriented
• Ability to resolve issues or conflicts on the field
• Excellent oral communication skills
• 10-20 hours per week (must be available weekends)
• Extremely organized, accurate, and proficient
• Certification in CPR and First Aid within the first 90 days
• Uphold the mission of the YMCA and demonstrate behaviors that reflect a determined, nurturing, genuine, hopeful, and welcoming nature
