Job summary

ymcastark is seeking a part-time youth sports program instructor to teach volleyball to young children (ages 3-5). The role emphasizes fun, safety, and basic skills.

You will design simple drills, keep records, referee and scorekeep during activities, and be available weekends and evenings. A high-energy, proactive attitude is essential.

This position offers the chance to develop early sport skills in a supportive environment, with respect for safety and positive kid engagement.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• Prior experience working with children ages 3 - 5.
• Knowledge of volleyball and how to teach each on a very basic level
• Ability to maintain the interests of young children, by thinking ahead and moving quickly during transitions
• High-energy and initiative is a MUST

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate records of various sports programs
• Ability to come up with sports-specific activities and drills
• Will include refereeing and scorekeeping
• Ability to work weekends & evenings
