Job Overview

i9 Sports offers youth sports leagues, camps, and clinics for kids ages 3-14 in popular sports such as flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and baseball. We focus on fun, safety, convenience, and good sportsmanship, aiming to reinvent the youth sports experience for families across the country.

Role Summary

The Instructors and Officials are responsible for enhancing the i9 Sports Experience for players and coaches. The Instructor builds relationships with players, parents, and coaches, ensuring the delivery of instructional content. Observing, assessing, and assisting coaches is key. The role involves hands-on involvement with practices and games across all age groups and skill levels. As an Official, you will enforce rules, foster a positive culture, act as an impartial coach on the field, and advocate for the programs, impacting players, coaches, and spectators during each game.

Responsibilities

Instructor

• Empower volunteer coaches to lead practices focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and fun
• Teach core concepts including sportsmanship values
• Supervise the operation of designated sport on game day
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and excellent customer service
• Assist with refereeing during games
• Set up and break down the field

Official

• Understand and enforce i9 Sports rules to ensure fun, learning, and safety
• Teach core concepts including sportsmanship values
• Keep time and score; manage age-appropriate instruction and competition
• Maintain a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
• Set up and break down the field

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Sport-specific coaching experience and knowledge
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and solve problems
• Ability to ensure safety and take charge in any situation
• Positive attitude and strong relationship-building skills
• Availability to work weekends during the season (7 weeks)
• Ability to pass a National Criminal Background Check
