About Us

Soccer Shots is an engaging children's soccer program specialized for children ages 2-8 years, with a focus on character and skill development. Our caring team positively impacts children's lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, curriculum, and communication. We are passionate about what we do and are looking to add people to our team who feel the same!

Compensation

Our coaches start at $18/hour, with an opportunity to increase to $24/hour based on experience level. Session timeframe is 1 hour in total, and coaches are generally assigned between 4-8 sessions per week, pending availability and willingness to travel.

Job Description / Responsibilities

Preparation:

• Completion of training program
• Reviews online curriculum (prepared for you ahead of time, and aligned with Pennsylvania early education standards)
• Maintains equipment in proper condition and arrives on time to set up the field for the session

Coaching:

• Ensures the safety and well-being of every child in your care
• For childcare sites, gathers children from the classroom and returns them after the session
• Conducts and prepares for fun and positive 35- to 45-minute sessions, following the weekly Soccer Shots curriculum

Communication / Administration:

• Effectively communicates using age-appropriate language aligned with the supplied curriculum
• Communicates timely with the supervisor about any changes, challenges, or important information
• Completes the online attendance sheet directly, following each session
• Returns maintained equipment and leftover supplies to the supervisor upon completion of each season

This is a part-time position requiring fewer than 15 hours per week. Soccer Shots programs are seasonal, and employment is also seasonal. All employment is at-will.

Candidates must process and submit a Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal Background check, and FBI Fingerprints. Soccer Shots will assist with these if necessary.

Training and Development

• We provide comprehensive training and certification, including developmentally appropriate coaching curriculum
• Curriculum is regularly updated to stay current with childhood education standards

• Training meetings are held at the beginning of each season
• Coaches are routinely evaluated and given feedback for growth
• Selection process focuses on coaching ability and ability to engage and inspire children
