Job summary

Soccer Shots in the Jackson Metro area is seeking Youth Soccer Instructors to work with children ages 2–9. You must be passionate about teaching kids, able to manage a group of 10+ players, and deliver engaging 30–40 minute sessions at daycares, preschools, community centers, and other venues.

Sessions run Monday through Friday with some evenings and Saturday mornings. Compensation starts at $15 per hour per session and increases with availability.

Qualifications

• Must be able to handle a group of 10 or more children.
• Pass Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check.
• Enjoy working with children aged 2–9.
• Soccer experience is preferred, basic familiarity acceptable.

Responsibilities

Youth Soccer Instructors Needed for Children Ages 2-8

Soccer Shots is the #1 Children’s Fitness franchise in the country. We only hire the best instructors to work with our children. Working with children is something we don’t take lightly, and it’s imperative that you not only enjoy working with children but are incredibly passionate about it. While we want you to have some soccer skills and to be familiar with the game, more importantly you must be able to handle a group of 10 or more children and make each session the best 30–40 minutes of their week.

Soccer Shots is ramping up its operation and is looking to expand its team of instructors to accommodate our growth. We operate in daycares, preschools, community centers, and other venues in the Jackson Metro area. Sessions run Monday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM, with some park programs launching in the evenings and on Saturday mornings. Scheduling is flexible; however, once your schedule is set it will not change. You will be at the same locations at the same times each week and must be committed for the entire season.

All instructors start at $15 per session, with the opportunity to increase. The more availability you have, the more sessions you can run and the more money you can make.

Ideal Instructor MUST Meet The Following Criteria

• Responsible: Arrives on time, can handle a group of 10 or more children, keeps accurate attendance, and communicates well with the Soccer Shots director of coaching.
• Professional: Neat in appearance, friendly and courteous with day‑care center staff, director, and parents, and self‑assured.
• Enthusiastic: Enjoys interacting with young children (2–9 years old), can connect with them on their level, and is very outgoing and animated; able to be silly with the children.
• Soccer: Soccer experience is preferred, but a strong rapport with children and basic familiarity with the game is acceptable.
• Experience with children: Must be able to engage and interact with 2‑9‑year‑olds and have prior experience doing so.

In addition to the above, a successful candidate must pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check.
