Qualifications

• Experience in youth soccer coaching or related youth sports coaching.
• Experience with toddlers 12-24 months, preschoolers and school-age children.
• Understanding of fundamentals of soccer and ability to teach grassroots.
• Excellent communication with kids, parents, staff.
• Fluent in English; eligible to work in the United States.
• Availability for weekday afternoons/evenings and weekend sessions.
• Has reliable transportation.

Our mission is to introduce kids to the grassroots and fundamentals of soccer while fostering their confidence and encouraging their social, emotional, cognitive, and motor development. As a coach, you'll play a crucial role in helping children build essential skills and grow both in the game and as individuals.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow age-appropriate curriculums designed to help children learn and grow at their own pace
• Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages kids to build confidence and have fun
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, achievements, or any concerns
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging training environment for all participants
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to continually improve coaching techniques and skills

Requirements

• Previous experience in youth soccer coaching, broader youth sports coaching, classroom teaching, or daycare or early-childhood work is highly recommended
• Experience working with toddlers 12-24 months, preschoolers, elementary-age kids, or across the full 2-14 age range
• An understanding of the fundamentals of soccer and the ability to teach those skills at a grassroots level
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with kids, parents of very young children, colleagues, and other staff
• Fluent in English
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Available for weekday afternoons, weekday evenings, Saturday mornings, Sunday sessions, or a combination of those times
• Has reliable transportation
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
• Fluency in one or more additional languages beyond English is a plus
