Job summary

Soccer Shots - Southwest Suburban Chicagoland in Lockport, IL is seeking PART-TIME coaches to join our youth development program. Coaches follow a pre-written curriculum for PreK–8th grade and contribute to a fun, safe, and energetic practice environment.

Training and development are provided, and advancement opportunities exist for committed staff. The ideal applicant loves working with young children, is enthusiastic and high-energy, has some soccer experience, and can reliably transport

Qualifications

• Love of working with young children and making a difference.
• Ability to follow a pre-written curriculum; no curriculum development required.
• Reliable transportation to practices and games.
• Be enthusiastic and high-energy.
• Enjoy playing or coaching soccer; some experience required.
• Good physical stamina; may run, kneel, and squat during sessions and carry equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coach youth according to the provided curriculum.
• Assist in conducting practice sessions and games for PreK–8th grade.
• Help maintain equipment and field setup as needed.

$20 per hour - Starting Immediately
TUESDAYS/THURSDAYS
4:45 pm - 7:15 pm
Saturday mornings - If available and as needed

Soccer Shots runs the recreational soccer league for children ages PreK-8th grade at the Lockport Township Park District. Soccer Shots and our league continue to grow, and we are looking for PART-TIME coaches to join our team.

The ideal applicant must meet the following criteria:

1. A love of working with young children and making a difference in their lives.
2. The ability to follow a pre-written curriculum. Our coaches are not required to develop their own practice plans.
3. Have reliable transportation.
4. Be enthusiastic and high-energy.
5. Enjoy playing or coaching soccer, some soccer experience is required.
6. Have good physical stamina as you could be running, kneeling, and squatting on a field for up to 3 hours. Coaches must be able to carry an equipment bag that contains 14 balls, nets, and more.
