Job summary

Soccer Shots DuPage County is seeking enthusiastic coaches to join our team this fall. Our coaches introduce children ages 2-8 to soccer through engaging, age-appropriate sessions that build confidence, character, and a love for physical activity.

No soccer coaching experience? No problem. We provide comprehensive paid training and all the tools you need to be successful. Flexible part-time scheduling and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation to locations throughout DuPage County.
• Daily access to a smartphone and internet.
• Ability to pass a background check, fingerprinting, and medical screening per DCFS.
• Ability to work weekday afternoons (approx 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM).

Responsibilities

• Manage groups of 5-10 children during sessions.
• Communicate professionally with families, school staff, and Soccer Shots leadership.
• Arrive on time and be prepared for every session.
• Create a fun and positive learning environment.

Fall Season | 4–16 Hours Per Week | Mornings & Afternoons (Approx. 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM | 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM)

Soccer Shots is an award-winning children's soccer program that serves preschools, childcare centers, parks, and community locations throughout DuPage County. Our curriculum is designed by early childhood education specialists and soccer professionals to create a fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate experience for every child.

What We're Looking For

Reliable & Responsible

• Arrive on time and prepared for every session
• Effectively manage groups of 5-10 children
• Communicate professionally with families, school staff, and Soccer Shots leadership

Energetic & Engaging

• Enjoy being active, enthusiastic, and encouraging
• Comfortable being silly, imaginative, and interactive with young children
• Create a fun and positive learning environment

Professional

• Friendly, approachable, and dependable
• Represents Soccer Shots positively at all locations
• Maintains a professional appearance and attitude

Experienced with Children

• Experience working with young children is strongly preferred
• Teaching, coaching, childcare, camp counseling, or education experience is a plus
• Soccer experience is helpful but not required
