Revolution Academy is seeking a part-time player development coach to deliver energetic coaching sessions across the New England region for ages 5–17, following the Academy curriculum. Coaches will work in multiple programs and locations and participate in paid staff trainings throughout the year. Adidas uniform package and coaching equipment are provided.

This role is not for the MLS NEXT youth teams. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and 0–2 years of soccer coaching

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0–2 years of soccer coaching experience with players ages 5–17 preferred.
  • Current medical clearance for fitness for duty, or the ability to obtain it, required.
  • Current immunizations that meet Massachusetts Board of Health requirements, or the ability to obtain them, required.

Responsibilities

  • Train and coach various levels of players, ranging from recreational to travel sessions.
  • Plan and run sessions from Revolution Academy curriculum and materials.
  • Conduct coach education sessions for volunteer coaches.
  • Communicate with players, volunteer coaches, parents and youth soccer communities.

BACKGROUNDThe mission of the Revolution Academy is to provide the highest quality of developmental training in a professional, safe & competitive environment. The Revolution Academy trains players of various ability levels in all aspects of the game providing a wide range of training programs, from developmental level to elite level, for players and coaches to support Town and Club Partners across the New England region.The Revolution Academy training programs coaching staff are provided year-round support through professional development workshops and on-field training, covering areas that include methodology, player development and coach development.SUMMARYThe role of part-time player development coach is to be responsible for delivering energetic and impactful coaching sessions to players across the New England region, while working in a professional environment.Sessions range from development to elite level players. Player ages range from 5-17 years old. Coaches are placed in various programs that will be determined by experience, licenses & geographic location.This posting is open to developing coaches who are looking to grow and improve their own ability or experienced coaches who are looking to improve and become part of a great team.
