Job summary

State of Missouri invites applications for a Registered Nurse at Hogan Street Regional Youth Center in St. Louis, MO. You will perform nursing assessments, develop and implement health care plans, and dispense medications to youths in day treatment and residential programs.

Requires Missouri RN license (compact eligible), strong communication, empathy and teamwork. You will supervise LPNs and nursing staff, maintain health records, and contribute to public health activities as needed.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Missouri or under Nurse Licensure Compact.
Ability to communicate clearly and work with youth, families and staff.
Experience in nursing assessments, health care planning and patient education.

Responsibilities

Provide physical examinations and nursing assessments, schedule sick calls and labs.
Maintain medical and medication logs and coordinate health services for youths.
Administer medications and supervise nursing staff and aides.
Cook up and deliver health education and preventive care for youth.
Teach CPR/First Aid and maintain related certifications.
Oversee documentation and incident reporting related to medical care.
Coordinate community health services and case management as needed.
