Job summary

The Youth Services Manager at Elyria Public Library leads the Youth Services department, coordinating programs, collections, and staff to create welcoming experiences for children, teens, and families. This role supports learning, curiosity, creativity, and community connection while advancing EPL’s standards and Patron First Promise.

Reports to the Branch Manager and collaborates across branches to drive engagement and service excellence in a West River location.

Qualifications

• Masters in library science preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership in youth services desirable.
• Experience coordinating programs for children, teens and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead Youth Services department and align programs with EPL standards.
• Develop and mentor staff; support branch operations and culture.
• Engage with the community to promote learning and curiosity.
• Partner with the Branch Manager to advance EPL priorities and Patron First Promise.

Hours: Exempt Full-Time (37.5 hours per week) including nights and weekends
