Job summary

Tanager Place in Iowa is seeking a Youth Service Worker to join the Inpatient Team delivering direct care to youth. You will support safety, wellbeing, and growth, plan activities, and build therapeutic relationships rooted in respect and empathy.

Qualifications include being at least 20 years old and either one year of direct experience with children/families or an AA in psychology, counseling, social work, nursing, or related field.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years old.
• One year of direct experience with children, youth, or families OR an AA in psychology, counseling, social work, nursing, criminal justice, or related field; completion of two years of college toward a BA may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision for youth.
• Plan and lead healing, recreational activities.
• Build therapeutic relationships rooted in respect, empathy, and consistency.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing of youth in care.

Associate’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, nursing, criminal justice, or related human services field
