Job summary

The Police Athletic League, Inc. is seeking a Youthlink Activity Specialist- Service Learning in New York City to design and lead service-learning experiences for high school youth.

You will connect youth with their communities through volunteerism, leadership development, and civic engagement, while partnering with schools, nonprofits, and local stakeholders. Reporting to the Teen Supervisor and Youthlink Director, you will coordinate activities, monitor engagement, and ensure safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years of youth development or service-learning experience.
• Experience coordinating volunteer projects with youth.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish, French, or Chinese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate service-learning projects that connect youth to the community.
• Plan and coordinate volunteer opportunities and civic engagement activities.
• Build partnerships with nonprofits, schools, and government agencies.
• Facilitate reflection activities and monitor participant outcomes.
• Ensure safety and adherence to program goals.
