Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of Tri-County Area is seeking a part-time Youth Wellness Coordinator at the Berlin Site to provide social and emotional support to youth ages 5-18, using trauma-informed care to promote growth and Club member success.

The role includes mentorship, intervention/prevention support, and creating a safe environment through 1:1 check-ins and small group activities. Position averages 20–30 hours weekly and reports to the Area Director - Berlin/Green Lake Sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred, or equivalent college coursework in human services (education, social work, counseling, psychology, etc.).
• Experience working with at-risk youth; understanding of trauma, behavioral challenges, and SEL needs.
• Ability to create developmentally appropriate activities for SEL.
• Experience leading programs for at-risk youth.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to maintain accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, evaluate SEL programs aligned to priority outcomes: Good Character, Health Relationships, Overall Wellness.
• Incorporate SMART Girls/Boys programming to promote healthy decisions, self-esteem, leadership, and well-being.
• Oversee intervention and prevention support during Club hours; manage mentoring program per grant requirements.
• Maintain daily contact with staff, members, and supervisor; support youth behavior plans.
• Create an environment where all youth feel physically, mentally, and emotionally safe.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on behavior intervention; participate in family-focused meetings as needed.
