TikTok seeks a Policy Manager for Youth Safety & Well-being in Trust and Safety to develop and refine age-appropriate platform policies that balance safety with expression. You will align with international frameworks, engage external experts, and work across product, legal, and operations to strengthen moderation practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, Child Protection Policy, Public Policy, Law, Prevention Science, Social Work, or a related field with a meaningful focus on child or adolescent safety and wellbeing.
• Deep understanding of the harm landscape affecting youth online, including CSAM and developmental risks.
• Familiarity with the current and emerging online youth regulatory landscape and age-appropriate design codes and safety regimes.
• Ability to synthesize complex child safety topics for internal and external audiences, including policy trade-offs and implications.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with product, technical, legal, and operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, iterate, and maintain policies to ensure age-appropriate content on the platform while balancing safety and expression.
• Ensure policies on youth harms are clear, enforceable, and aligned with international frameworks and local laws.
• Support youth-specific product policy approaches, including parental controls and interaction features.
• Engage with external stakeholders to incorporate outside expertise into TikTok’s youth safety policies.
• Collaborate with Policy Enforcement, Operations, and Product to improve moderation systems (human and AI-driven).
