Genacross Lutheran Services is seeking a Youth Residential Counselor in Ohio to join a team that supports youth with emotional and behavioral challenges in a structured, home-like setting.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, mentoring, and collaboration with treatment teams to promote positive growth and independence for youth. Evening and overnight opportunities are available, with a competitive pay and a $4,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license required.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, structured, and supportive environment for youth.
• Build positive relationships and serve as a role model and mentor.
• Supervise daily routines, activities, and recreational programming.
• Teach social, behavioral, and independent living skills.
• Support youth through emotional and behavioral challenges.
• Use trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with meals, hygiene, transportation, and daily living activities.
• Document behaviors, incidents, and progress accurately.
• Participate in treatment planning and team meetings.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming living environment.

Full Time | Evening and Overnight Opportunities

Pay: $16.25-$17/hour + $4,000 Sign-On Bonus

We are seeking Youth Residential Counselors who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and are looking for a collaborative, team environment. In this role, you will provide direct support and guidance to youth with emotional and behavioral challenges in a structured, home-like environment.

What You'll Do:
