Job summary

The Center for Human Development (CHD) provides direct care in a short-term residential program for troubled adolescents. The Juvenile Justice Residential Support Specialist will support daily living, supervise residents, lead group meetings, provide counseling/advocacy, and assist with transport and household tasks.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and completion of medication administration training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a vehicle and valid driver's license.
• Ability to complete medication administration training.
• Background screening must be passed.
• Comfortable working in a locked facility.

Responsibilities

• Care and supervision of residents in daily life, including physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
• Supervise behavior, activities, and movement during community events.
• Conduct group meetings and provide counseling and advocacy.
• Engage in household tasks and provide client transport when needed.
