Job summary

Youth-Nex, UVA Center to Promote Effective Youth Development is seeking a Research Professional to support projects on youth mental health, prevention, and educational interventions. The role includes video data coding, data management and cleaning, and qualitative research tasks.

The successful candidate will assist with curriculum refinement and documentation, collaborate with the research team, and help ensure data quality and adherence to protocols.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow research protocols.
• Experience with data coding, data management, or qualitative research.

Responsibilities

• Conduct systematic coding of video-based research data according to established coding protocols.
• Assist with data cleaning, organization, quality assurance, and preparation of research datasets.
• Support qualitative data collection, including preparation, organization, and documentation of qualitative research materials.
• Assist with qualitative data analysis, including coding and organization of qualitative data and participation in team discussions.
• Contribute to refinement of research curricula and intervention materials based on findings.
• Maintain organized project records and documentation.
• Prepare and organize research data and materials for analysis and deliverables.
• Participate in research team meetings and communicate progress with staff.
• Follow research protocols including data security and integrity.
