Dallasact in Texas is seeking a Juvenile Services Caseworker to provide professional casework, supervision, counseling and services in the rehabilitation of youthful offenders in custody across the Juvenile Department. You will handle intake, risk assessments, and plan resources to meet youths and families' needs.

The role involves coordinating with families, schools, law enforcement and community agencies, maintaining thorough case records and reporting to the courts for accurate dispositions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field.
• Prefer one (1) year job related experience in casework, counseling, community, supervision, or youth services.
• Must obtain Probation Officer certification within six months of employment.
• Must pass an extensive background investigation and have a valid Texas driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Provide supervision and services for youths to promote rehabilitation and protect the community.
• Conduct intake and risk assessments to determine supervision levels and intervention programs.
• Consult with family, school officials and others to tailor services to youths.
• Plan treatment programs for youths related to education, drug/alcohol treatment, foster care or other community-based services.
• Counsel youths and families on behavior, goals, and consequences of actions; discuss progress and conduct crisis intervention.
• Maintain accurate case records and reports for the courts to ensure proper dispositions.
• Liaise with schools, community agencies, law enforcement, CPS, MHMR and others.
