Job summary

Tulsa County is seeking to fill a full-time role at Juvenile Detention Center to plan and supervise a recreational program for the facility. You will work under the Recreation Supervisor to coordinate activities, coach events, and maintain equipment and safety protocols.

The position requires coordinating daily programs, maintaining inventories, and producing safety and incident reports while ensuring a constructive atmosphere for residents.

Qualifications

• 60 credit hours in Recreational Management, Kinesiology, Physical Education or related field.
• One year of experience in Recreation, correction, or related experience.
• Education may be substituted year-for-year with related recreation experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily recreational and leisure activities for inmates/residents.
• Assist in supervising the overall recreational program and facility plan.
• Maintain inventories of supplies, tools and equipment to prevent waste and loss.
• Coach and instruct indoor and outdoor events or activities.
• Arrange for proper equipment and facilities in designated areas.
• Ensure safety and sanitation of recreational areas.
• Prepare safety, accident, and other required reports.
