Job summary

Aspiranet, a leading California nonprofit, seeks a Psychiatric Technician for its Crisis Stabilization Unit in Santa Cruz. You will provide compassionate clinical care to youth, administer medications, monitor medical needs, and support individualized treatment plans within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Medical Assistant program.
• Current Psychiatric Technician certification or LVN.
• Minimum of one year of professional nursing or medical assistant experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification (BLR).
• Minimum of two years' experience with children, adolescents, and families with emotional/behavioral challenges.
• Must be 21 years of age and meet state clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to youth at the CSU.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Coordinate medical, physical, and dental needs with providers.
• Deliver health screening, education, and counseling.
• Provide daily living assistance and supportive behavioral interventions.
• Document interventions and progress for treatment teams.
