Job summary

Euclid Public Library is seeking an energetic, sociable candidate to provide reference service and promote youth literacy. You will guide families to reading resources, match books to children and teens, and assist patrons with library equipment.

The role includes storytimes and school visits, with a schedule that includes weekdays and some weekends; a valid Ohio driver’s license is required, and a Bachelor’s degree is requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Knowledge of children’s interests and pop culture useful.
• Library experience helpful.
• Experience working directly with children preferred.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Answer reference questions in person and by phone.
• Recommend books to youth of all ages.
• Assist families to discover the love of reading.
• Help patrons find resources for school assignments.
• Assist patrons with library equipment.
