Job summary

Courts Plus in Fargo, ND is seeking a Youth Attendant to support Child Watch and youth programs for children aged 6 weeks to 11 years. Candidates should be outgoing, caring, and capable of guiding activities both indoors and outdoors.

Role includes assisting with setup/cleanup, planning games, and assisting with instruction. Position offers lead/coordinator opportunities with higher pay; standard shifts include evenings and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Babysitting experience or enrolled in Early Childhood Development class.
• Available to work a minimum of 2 shifts a week and two weekends per month.
• Punctuality, teamwork and individual responsibility are required.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking outgoing candidates for Child Watch and other youth programs, who have a fun, loving, and caring attitude towards children who want to make a difference in a child’s life. We are looking for someone who has the ability and flexibility to work with children and their families between the ages of 6 weeks and 11 years of age.

Youth attendants will assist in a variety of areas, including: providing a safe and friendly environment for members’ children, supervise and participate with groups in both indoor/outdoor activities, assist with set-up and clean-up, plan, lead and organize games, sports, crafts etc. and other age-appropriate activities.

Our youth attendants have the opportunity to take on a Lead and/or Coordinator role every month in which we are also searching for more of. These roles get paid a higher rate per hour. These positions require some prep work, lesson planning, discipline and an outgoing and upbeat personality. Common hours are on no school days, Saturday evenings and some weekday evenings.

**This position can continue year-round if applicant is interested**

Requirements

Individuals must be at least 16 years of age. Must have babysitting experience or enrolled in Early Childhood Development class in High School or College course.

Individual must be available to work a minimum of 2 shifts a week and two weekends per month.

• Daily attendance, being punctual, teamwork and individual responsibility is a requirement.

Hours of operation are as follows:

*Standard shifts are 3-4 hours long. Hours below are when our youth programs run on a daily basis.*

Monday-Friday 8:00AM to 7:30PM (program hours vary)

Saturday: 9:00AM-1:00PM, 4:30-7:30PM (both needed)

Examples of Lead/Coordinator shifts:

No School Days: 8:00AM-5:00PM with a 1 hour lunch break (weekdays)

Youth Programs: 4:00PM-7:30PM (Saturday evenings), 2:15PM-6:00PM (weekdays)
