Job summary

The YMCA of Honolulu is seeking a Site Coordinator to oversee school-age childcare programs, ensuring safety and enrichment under the Youth Director. You will supervise staff, plan activities, and maintain program standards across DOE A+ Afterschool Programs.

Responsibilities include developing engaging programs, coordinating with DOE/DHS partners, and modeling professional behavior while fostering a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of youth work and school-age childcare.
• Ability to supervise and develop youth leaders and aides.
• Strong communication with participants, parents, coworkers and partners.
• Ability to ensure safety, health, and welfare of participants and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist Youth Directors with operation and supervision of participants.
• Develop new programs and activities focusing on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
• Communicate professionally with participants, parents, and partners (DOE, DHS).
• Lead staff and volunteers, providing training and leadership development.
• Schedule staff coverage and coordinate with Program Director.
