Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking a Security Officer to enforce laws and center policies, perform alarm and patrol duties, inspect facilities, investigate incidents, and assist staff across our Job Corps programs in Dayton. You will log activity, support transportation, and help ensure a safe, respectful environment for students and staff.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least one year of related security experience, experience with youth, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year related security experience preferred.
• Experience working with youth preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Enforces all laws, rules and policies in the Safety and Security Department.
• Performs alarm and patrol duties to protect life and property.
• Inspects grounds and facilities and documents results.
• Investigates incidents and provides clear reports.
• Controls disturbances and assists staff in de-escalation.
• Provide vehicle transportation support under supervision.
• Provides customer service and aide to visitors, participants, and staff.
• Maintains logs and records accurately and on time.
• Ensures safety and a harassment-free environment at the center.
