OSU Rec Sports - Sport. Leadership. Wellness. seeks a program operations assistant for KidSpirit to support program accountability, communications, safety and records.

You will assist with project and report maintenance, attend trainings, handle attendance and data entry in the information system, process payments, manage equipment, and promote engagement with families.

Requirements include First Aid, RRCAN, and Child Care Health & Safety certifications, and enrollment in an eligible program.

Qualifications

• Current, valid First Aid certification by the start of programming.
• Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect (RRCAN) certification by start of programming.
• Introduction to Child Care Health & Safety certification by start of programming.
• Fundamentals of Learning.

Responsabilités

• Assist with the creation, editing, updating and maintenance of program projects and reports; maintain a variety of schedules.
• Attending orientations, meetings, and in-service training.
• Completing and submitting appropriate documents as needed (incident/accident reports, monthly timesheets, lesson plans, etc.)
• Using information technology to assist with maintaining systems or database security.
• Double checking attendance and entering it into the information system, double checking all processes are being done in WRIKE, monitoring emails, radios and answering phones.
• Perform data entry functions which may include personal information.
• Processing financial transactions (cash, check and credit card payments) and making cash deposits.
• Maintain equipment and supplies inventory.
• Administer first aid and activate emergency action steps if medical attention is required. May care for sick/injured students including handling medications.
• Follow emergency action procedures and documentation tasks (phone, radio, in person).
• Attend required orientation sessions, program meetings, and in‑service training.
• Review and comply with all program policies, procedures, and activity guidelines.
• Actively pursue opportunities for career growth and skill development through training and feedback.
• Check out, request, and properly use equipment and supplies for activities.
• Maintain and organize the equipment area before clocking out each day.
• Report equipment needs, safety concerns, and supply issues to supervisors.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding participant progress and development.
• Promote KidSpirit programs including recreational classes, camps, ACES, and special events.
• Serve as a positive ambassador for the program, using strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as requested by supervisors to support program success and team functioning.
• May require lifting of 35lbs.
