Job summary

City of Kettering seeks Program Leaders to develop, coordinate, and organize recreational programs and activities. The role offers a flexible schedule within a supportive team environment and a fun atmosphere for staff and patrons alike.

Responsibilities include assisting with event planning and execution, ensuring a safe, entertaining experience for participants, and enforcing city policies under the guidance of the Coordinator or designee.

Qualifications

• Must be enthusiastic and customer service–oriented.
• Ability to work with children aged 3 and older.
• Creative, with initiative and assertiveness.
• Well organized and able to plan and promote youth activities.
• 2+ years related work experience and/or leadership training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning of events and activities.
• Assist with execution of events and activities.
• Interact with patrons to ensure a fun and entertaining experience.
• Provide a safe environment for our patrons.
• Enforce Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts policies and guidelines.
• Carry out any assigned responsibilities relating to the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department as directed by the Coordinator, Supervisor or designee.
• Candidates must be customer-service oriented and able to verbally communicate to the public.
