Job summary

The Starz Program of Richmond is seeking a part-time Program Manager to help oversee day-to-day operations across Richmond, VA. This hybrid role blends virtual coordination with on-site school visits, with an approximate 20 hours per week and flexible scheduling.

You will collaborate with program leaders and 15 local instructors, interview candidates, train new staff, and support curriculum development while engaging with partner schools and families.

Qualifications

• 18+ with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a reliable car and be willing to drive weekly to schools across the Richmond area with a valid driver’s license.
• Experience working in the education space.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• High level of professionalism and responsibility.
• Self-starter and self-motivated
• Able to pass background check and school screening requirements.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs and actively lead movement-based classes without limitation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate weekly with program leaders and 15 local instructors.
• Communicate with instructors daily about class schedules, curriculum, and equipment.
• Conduct virtual and on-site candidate interviews to help build the team.
• Lead on-site training to prepare new instructors.
• Conduct quarterly classroom observations to ensure high-quality programming.
• Attend the first day of new classes to ensure a smooth start with partners, students, and parents.
• Coordinate and attend Parent Showcase Days at the end of each session.
• Meet with partner schools in-person to build long-term relationships.
