Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Virginia is seeking a Lead Youth Development Professional at the Orange Club. This part-time, nonexempt role offers 25–28 hours weekly with an hourly compensation of $17.00 to $20.00.

You will help plan and deliver developmentally appropriate programs for youth ages 5–18, ensuring safety and quality of experiences. You will assist with onboarding new staff, setting up services, and promoting a positive, inclusive environment aligned with BGCCVA’s mission and core

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
College degree preferred, ideally in education or youth development.
1-2 years as a Youth Development Professional or similar role preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
Valid Driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

Create an environment that facilitates achievement of priority outcomes.
Facilitate programs for groups of 15+ youth aged 5-18.
Set up program services including snacks/meals and activities as directed.
Onboard new Lead Youth Development Professionals with orientation and schedules.
Supervise safety and enforce club rules; maintain equipment and supplies.
