Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a Program Development & Training Specialist for the Youth Collaborative to support curriculum development, program evaluation, and implementation of youth programs. This role involves extensive outreach, education, and workforce development activities across MUSC programs such as Just Say Know and Teen Science Ambassador, with local travel in Charleston.

Responsibilities

Develop, promote, integrate, and support MUSC Youth Collaborative Programs and related initiatives.
Create and maintain instructional content and reference guides to support program delivery.
Oversee school engagement, community outreach, promotion, education initiatives, and recruitment.
Develop engaging presentations to showcase Youth Collaborative programs.
Solicit input from instructors, community members, schools, and students on program direction.
Assist in data collection and development of program evaluation surveys and focus groups.
Advise study team on instructional goals and practical solutions.
Monitor developments in adolescent substance use and mental health to inform instructional design.
Organize trainings on new presentations, programs, and technologies for facilitators.
Develop and maintain training curriculum and facilitator resources.
Coach and mentor instructors on facilitation techniques and audience engagement.
Conduct observations and assessments to ensure quality and standards.
Track facilitator progress and report findings to leadership for improvement.
Prioritize content review and updates.
Participate in program evaluation reviews for revision.
Conduct QA testing of program materials before release.
Develop strategic communications plans, promote events, and strengthen community presence.
Collaborate to identify key messages, audiences, and channels for outreach.
Create content for social media, press releases, articles, blogs, and multimedia.
Plan calendars for consistent engagement and maintain program websites.
Build relationships with community organizations in South Carolina.
Collaborate with partners for event success and attendance.
Familiarize with inclusion/exclusion criteria of Youth Collaborative studies.
Maintain contact lists of program contacts and vendors.
Lead and organize program meetings and prepare progress reports.
