Job summary

David Posnack JCC is seeking an Assistant Camp & Youth Services Director to lead Camp Kadima and the After-School Adventure Program in Davie, FL. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating programming, and managing communications with families.

The position requires organization, leadership, and strong interpersonal skills to deliver engaging youth experiences year-round. Hours are generally 40+ with extended hours for camps and events, and the role reports to the Camp & Youth Services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, recreation, child development, youth services, management, or a related field preferred.
• Previous camp leadership, supervisory, or program management experience strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and respond calmly to unexpected situations.
• Proficient using email and Microsoft Office; experience with registration, scheduling or program management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising summer camp, Camp Kadima, and After-School Adventure Program.
• Interview, hire and terminate staff in accordance with DPJCC policies.
• Lead camp registration processes and assist in camp programming for various groups.
• Coordinate camp special events, field trips, transportation, and communications with parents.
• Oversee payroll for camp staff, specialists, vendors and contractors.
• Maintain camp rosters and coordinate outreach to market Camp Kadima.
