Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a part-time van driver to transport club members to and from school and assist with after-school activities. The role requires maintaining a safe, violation-free driving record and performing daily vehicle inspections.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip checks, logging van usage, assisting with snack service, and supporting dismissal procedures while complying with all regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with 3–5 points max; CDL preferred.
• Ability to pass FBI and state background checks per regulations.
• Experience transporting children and working in licensed childcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate van on schedule and designated route.
• Maintain safe driving record and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Assist with snack service and conduct clerical duties related to dismissal.
• Maintain van logs and accompanying paperwork.
• Report emergencies, accidents and hazards to management.
• Advise director on safety and route improvements.
