Job summary

Gateway Region YMCA is seeking a dedicated program leader to deliver highly interactive experiences to groups of participants and promote success in specific programs.

You will organize, lead and adapt stimulating activities, maintain safe conditions, and communicate progress to the Program Director. The role emphasizes collaboration with staff and volunteers and ongoing evaluation to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with target age groups and post-secondary education in program area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highly interactive experiences to groups and promote success in specific programs.
• Organize, lead and adapt stimulating activities appropriate for the age and experience of the group with enthusiasm.
• Maintain and use program resources efficiently and ecologically.
• Provide safe conditions and refrain from hazardous activities.
• Keep the Program Director informed of activities and progress or issues.
• Lead and facilitate lessons that teach social-emotional and content area skills.
