Southeast Asian Development Center in San Francisco seeks a Youth Program Educator to build nurturing relationships with K–12 students, provide day-to-day academic support, and run enrichment activities. The role requires leading groups, supervising youth, and maintaining communications with families and schools.

The position offers 37.5 hours per week, nonexempt status, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, EAP, and commuter benefits. Salary is $22–$26 per hour DOE.

Competenze

• 1+ years of experience working with diverse students in K-12.
• Support to youth in 1:1 and small groups; supervise at 1 staff to 10 youth minimum.
• Demonstrate effectiveness in classroom management for after-school and summer programs.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting with or without supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with youth and adults.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with data entry and CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
• Familiarity with project management and online communication platforms (Teams).
• Adaptability to adopt new software and technologies.

Mansioni

• Facilitate after-school and summer programs Monday–Friday with daily chaperoning and homework help.
• Support youth in developing school and life skills.
• Promote a safe and positive learning environment.
• Plan and deliver culturally relevant lessons, workshops, and activities.
• Supervise at least 10 students daily in various settings.
