Job summary

Town of Hanover is seeking an OST Counselor for the OST Division. This entry level seasonal position will assist all staff in various recreational programs, activities, and events, helping to deliver safe, engaging youth experiences.

The role emphasizes outdoor work, supervision, equipment management, and daily setup. Candidates must be at least 15, CPR/First Aid certified, and able to swim; enrollment in high school and NH work permit eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old and able to satisfy NH work permit requirements.
• Enrollment in high school or equivalent is required.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid from an approved agency is required.
• Must be comfortable around youth and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior staff in day-to-day operations of programs and supervision of participants.
• Help with equipment management and return items to proper places after activities.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment during programs and events.
• Assist with activities as directed by senior staff.
• Support safety and wellbeing of participants and report infractions to supervision.
