Job summary

Center For Family Services in Cumberland County, NJ is hiring a Cape May County Out of School Youth Program Coordinator. The role oversees daily operations, staff management, participant engagement, and partner coordination to deliver job readiness and life-skills programming for ages 16-24.

The position requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, plus a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for countywide travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; work experience may substitute for education.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Google Forms, and online database tracking systems.
  • Ability to motivate participants and maintain a leadership role.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple demands.
  • Experience navigating workforce development and related services systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Must have access to a registered and insured vehicle for transportation across Cape May County.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Weekend and evenings may be necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the Cape May program, including staff management, participant engagement, outreach and recruitment, partner engagement, and program reporting.
  • Address and respond to the needs of youth ages 16-24 not enrolled in school.
  • Conduct participant intakes to determine program eligibility.
  • Develop a comprehensive employment plan for participants.
  • Provide ongoing support to track outcomes.
  • Provide job readiness and career exploration services to participants.
  • Identify and build partnerships between public, private, and other nonprofit organizations.
  • Identify, build, and maintain an employer network for work experience opportunities.
  • Attend all youth meetings required by the contract.
  • Work closely with internal staff and partners to provide seamless services.

Position Status: Full Time

Salary: $56,000 per year

Position Summary:

Center For Family Services Workforce Development partners with public/private organizations to provide access to wraparound social services, support linkages, job readiness skills, and career exploration. The Cape May County Out of School Youth Program Coordinator will manage the program's daily operations, including staff management, member engagement and recruitment, partner engagement, and administrative oversight. To accomplish these tasks, the Coordinator will work closely with external community partners and internal programs at the Center For Family Services. The program provides participants with a life-skills curriculum focused on job readiness and tailored to the areas that Cape May County employers have identified as most important.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the YCC Cape May program, including staff management, participant engagement, outreach and recruitment, partner engagement, and program reporting
  • Address and respond to the needs of youth ages 16-24 who are not enrolled in school
  • Conduct participant intakes to determine program eligibility
  • Develop a comprehensive employment plan for participants
  • Provide ongoing support to track outcomes
  • Provide job readiness and career exploration services to participants
  • Identify and build internal and external partnerships between public, private, and other nonprofit organizations
  • Identify, build, and maintain an employer network for work experience opportunities
  • Attend all youth meetings required by the contract
  • Work closely with internal CFS staff and partners to provide seamless services to participants

  • Valid driver's license.
