OMNI Youth Services in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking a Prevention Specialist I to implement a state-funded grant focusing on alcohol and opioid prevention in middle/high schools and the community. The role emphasizes collaboration with schools, data-driven programming, and outreach to teens, parents, and staff.

It requires strong communication and adaptability in a hybrid setting. The position offers a full-time role with a salary range of $48,000 to $50,000 annually, based out of Buffalo Grove,

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Efficiently manage time in a hybrid work environment.
• Experience with youth development and volunteer management.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders including youth, parents, school staff and community leaders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordination of direct service initiatives.
• Complete all grant required training within one year of hire, including additional professional development.
• Implement evidence-based education programs and campaigns in middle school, high school, and community settings.
• Assist with recruitment and facilitation of youth leadership programs.
• Maintain records of monthly SUPS deliverables and prepare required reports.
• Introduce OMNI programs and services to schools and community partners.
• Work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
• Perform other duties to support the agency’s mission.
