Job summary

Gang Alternative, Inc. seeks a Youth Prevention Specialist to deliver evidence-based curricula in schools and after-school programs in Miami‑Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. You will assess student needs, conduct intakes, and link youth to services while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.

You'll collaborate with school personnel and community partners, participate in trainings, and support coalition activities. Travel between sites is required; a valid driver's license is needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field is required.
• Two years of experience with youth and families preferred.
• Ability to engage youth and collaborate with schools and communities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate in-school and after-school sessions using evidence-based curricula.
• Conduct intakes, assessments, identify student needs, and link to services.
• Administer evaluation tools and collect program data.
• Assist coalition activities and educate stakeholders on substance use issues.
• Maintain accurate program records and HIPAA compliance.
• Attend trainings and meetings to improve skills.
