Job summary

Cenikor Foundation in Amarillo is seeking a Part-Time Prevention Specialist to deliver substance use education to youth in schools and community settings. You will travel weekly to schools in the Amarillo area, providing engaging presentations to students in grades 1-12 and collaborating with partners to identify referrals to outside agencies.

Responsibilities include documenting program activities, reporting HHSC measures, and supporting community health initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or related field.
• Associate Prevention Specialist certification within 20 months of employment.
• Experience in prevention/substance use field preferred.
• Experience working with youth/adolescents preferred.
• Experience in school settings with classroom activities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver substance use and prevention education to youth (grades 1-12) in schools and community settings.
• Travel to schools in the Amarillo area; mileage reimbursement monthly.
• Screen youth for curriculum education groups and identify referral needs to outside agencies.
• Provide presentations on tobacco, alcohol and substance use awareness.
• Participate in program evaluation and community outreach events.
• Maintain documentation per federal/state Cenikor guidelines; report program measures.
