Job summary

Kentucky River Community Care at the Letcher County Sapling Center in Whitesburg, KY, seeks a Youth Peer Support Specialist to empower youths by sharing experiences and advocating for client-driven treatment planning. Qualifications

• Must be 18–35 years old.
• Experience with at least one child-serving agency or state-funded service related to youth disability.

Responsibilities

• Use relevant personal stories to teach through experience.
• Serve as a role model for clients.
• Encourage client voice and choice during development and implementation of treatment planning.
• Support clients while receiving mental health services. Empower clients to be self-advocates.
• Help clients enhance relationships with community partners.
