Job summary

Camelot Community Care is seeking a Peer Specialist in Tampa, FL to support young adults turning 18 in licensed foster care settings. Leverage lived experience to help navigate Independent Living services and access programs such as EFC, PESS, and Aftercare.

Act as a contact and connect clients with community resources and supports. You will co-facilitate Youth Empowerment councils and work with Youth Success Coaches, Facilitators, Specialists, and Case Managers to remove barriers and promote

Qualifications

Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred: Associate or other accredited vocational degree, in counseling/social work/psychology or related field.
Independent Living Service or Foster Care experience.

Responsibilities

Provide peer support to youth aging out of foster care using lived experience to navigate IL services.
Connect youth with community resources and help with accessing programs and services.
Assist Youth Success Coaches, Facilitators, Specialists and Case Managers as needed.
Co-facilitate Youth Empowerment council meetings and youth advocacy activities.
