Job summary

Sacramento Children's Home is seeking a Youth Peer Mentor to support youth in its Wraparound program. You will provide peer coaching, in-home support, and advocacy while collaborating with clinicians and families.

Responsibilities include helping youths articulate their values, identifying community resources, and maintaining professional boundaries in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • A High School diploma or GED is required.
  • 12 college units in Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, or related fields preferred.
  • Recent direct services experience in public mental health as a youth is required.
  • Must be 21+ with a valid CA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide peer advocacy and mentorship to youth in the Wraparound program.
  • Represent and advocate for youth perspectives within the clinic setting.
  • Assist youth in identifying strengths and community resources.
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and care planning as required.
