The Position:

We are seeking an experienced Youth Pastor who loves Jesus and has a passion for raising youth for the glory of God. This person will possess a natural ability to engage with the youth in Wellspring Church and the Englewood community through participation in Sunday Worship, youth ministry events, community involvement, and personal interaction. The Youth Pastor will build and lead a gospel-centric youth ministry focused on discipleship in partnership with parents and the church body. The Youth Pastor will serve as a Ministry Team Lead and report to the Executive Pastor of Ministry.

Responsibilities:

Lead Youth Ministry

• Oversee Youth Ministry Staff, including Assistant Youth Director, Apprentices, and Interns
• Lead, teach, and oversee Youth Group and Sunday School
• Develop and lead Youth Milestones (Youth Catechism, Coming of Age, Leadership Cohort, etc.)
• Support recruitment, training, and deployment of volunteers with the Assistant Youth Director
• Create a comprehensive discipleship strategy for youth, including parent support, gatherings, Sunday School, cohorts, contact work, social events, camps, retreats, and immersive experiences
• Promote and lead student catechism courses for 7th-8th and 10th-12th grades to explore Christian faith and Anglican distinctives
• Plan engagement avenues for students in 5th-12th grades, regardless of program participation
• Equip and support parents as primary disciplers and maintain clear communication
• Engage community partnerships to connect unchurched students
• Participate in the Family Ministry Team

Leadership & Collaboration

• Participate in the Ministry Leadership Team for vision, strategy, and collaboration
• Coordinate with Children’s and Young Adults Ministries during key transitions
• Attend Ministry Lead meetings, contribute to church-wide vision and special services
• Serve as a pastor as needed and support congregation in discipleship efforts
• Advocate for Family Ministry and collaborate on family events and opportunities

Requirements:

• Active personal faith and discipleship in Jesus
• Regular participation in Sunday Worship at Wellspring Church
• 5+ years of ministry experience
• Proven ability to manage a ministry within a complex church system
• Passion for youth engagement, creativity, leadership, and collaboration skills
• Agreement with Wellspring Church’s mission and vision

Salary & Benefits:
