Job summary

North County Lifeline, a San Diego County nonprofit, seeks a Youth Partner to support homeless and runaway youth through counseling support and resource navigation. Most work occurs in clients' homes, schools, or other community locations, promoting engagement with therapy services.

The role requires personal lived experience with homelessness before age 21 and the ability to build trust with youth. Part-time and evening hours are available, with mileage reimbursements and background checks

Qualifications

• Personal experience with homelessness before age 21.
• Ability to connect with adolescents and young adults while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Available 2-3 evenings per week until 7 PM.
• Able to meet youth in their home or other community locations.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Identify and help youth overcome barriers to therapy participation.
• Provide ongoing skill support and case management via home visits and community settings.
• Collaborate with Therapists and Peer Support Partners to meet client needs.
• Complete clinical documentation per Medi-Cal and BH contract requirements.
